Out There Images has an active publishing arm aimed at creating paper books, eBooks and DVD training materials. We currently have a number of projects underway. Check back here for updates, publication dates and ordering information.

New Book:
Using the Nikon Creative Lighting System, A Step by Step Guide to Using the SB-600 and SB-800 Flashes

Everything you wanted to know about using Nikon's iTTL flash system. We'll show all the steps required to set up consistent and amazing photographs. 193 pages with full color illustrations, tables and example photographs.

The book is published in eBook format and only available via CD-ROM for now. Later we'll work on publishing the book in a hard copy version.

The eBook has been formatted so it can be printed on 8.5"x11" paper and then spiral-bound or placed in a 3-hole binder. Many of our customers take advantage this option so they are able to read the eBook like a traditional paper book.

Since so many of you have been asking for one-page setup guides for the Nikon digital SLR cameras, we created them for the D300, D70, D80, D200 and D2X! You can download the pdf for free (below) or you can send us $6.50 and we'll mail you a laminated card right away. Price includes shipping to USA addresses.

About the Setup Guides
These guides were created to describe how I recommend setting up your camera for various shooting scenarios such as Landscape, Sports, Travel, Portraits, Weddings and Point & Shoot. There are lots of opinions out there for how people should adjust their cameras, so please use these as a starting point. Over time, you will find a setup that you like and it will probably be different from mine. That's a good thing!

Each setup guide was designed so that you can print it out on a single 8.5"x11" piece of paper. You'll have to put the paper through your printer two times in order to have it print on front and back. The Nikon D300, D200, D80 and D2X guides have one table for each shooting scenario. Enjoy!
